Purpose

The purpose of the 500 Club is to raise funds. The money will be paid into the Severn Valley Railway Company Limited bank account and used to meet funding requests for equipment for volunteer activities resources and equipment to support the operation of the railway. 

Rules

1. For a cost of £5 per month (i.e. per draw) you will be allocated one entry.
2. The number of entries per month will be limited to 500 in any draw. Should entries exceed 500 then entries will be split into multiple draws of similar size.
3. A draw will be made every month with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.
4. The prizes will total at least 50% of the previous month’s income.
5. This will be apportioned as: 1st prize of 25%, 2nd prize of 15% and 3rd prize of 10% of the previous month’s income.
6. The 500 club is a private lottery and is open to paid up members of Severn Valley Railway Company Limited only. All members aged 16 or over can join.
7. Members are limited to a maximum of two entries per draw. Additional entries received will not be entered into the draw and may not be refunded.
8. Payments must be made via Stripe, multiple payment methods will be offered. One month’s notice is required for cancellation.
9. Members will only be entered into the draw if payment has been paid during the preceding month.
10. The draw will be made between the 1^st and 3^rd of the Month (depending on how weekends and bank holidays fall). This will be either in person or via an online meeting with two independent witnesses present.
11. Winners will be contacted within 14 days of the draw to arrange payment; a number of payment methods will be offered.
12. The name and prize details for each month’s winners will be posted in the Severn Valley Railway News. Winners may opt to withhold their name from publication when contacted.
13. The 500 club will be overseen by a committee of the Board of Severn Valley Railway Company Limited. In case of any dispute the decision of the Board is final.
14. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the 500 club if his/her subscription renewal remains unpaid for a period of one month.
15. If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into Severn Valley Railway Company Limited funds after six months.
